The morpho butterflies are among the largest butterflies in the world, with wings spanning from five to eight inches. Their vivid, iridescent blue coloring is a result of the microscopic scales on the backs of their wings, which reflect light.
Their outer wings when not showing the blue side, shows beautiful brown, hues of blue & has an amazing pattern.
This species can be found over a huge range of countries, particularly in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Paraguay and Brazil.
